About

LG Media & Marketing pride themselves on offering a well-thought-out, and cost-effective approach to helping businesses increase their profile, both on and offline. The company was founded by Lucy Graham to offer a range of services to meet the developing needs of small businesses. Lucy works closely with talented web designers, so has expanded her offering to include interactive, highly-customisable website designs at prices that are well within reach.

Lucy Graham

Lucy’s background has equipped her to work as a multi-talented freelance in the fast-moving world of media and marketing. She’s had a varied career, giving her a wide range of skills and experience all of which can benefit your business as they have done, and continue to do, for a number of clients.

Most recently for VetCell, a pioneering equine stem cell therapy company, she has successfully managed their marketing to gain maximum results, employing modern digital as well as traditional methods, on a limited budget. Her role has involved design and production of sales and marketing materials (leaflets, fact sheets, booklets and banners), website management (design, copy-writing, editing), trade shows, PR (media relationships, press releases, articles for print media and third party websites) plus client liaison via social media, targeted email newsletters and direct customer engagement.

LG Media & Marketing

International event rider Paul Tapner has been a client of LG Media and Marketing since his impressive win at the Badminton Horse Trials in 2010. Recognising an opportunity to capitalize on increased media interest he hired Lucy to advise him and to manage the marketing side of his business. To that end she has introduced sponsorship deals, edits and updates the Tapner Eventing Team website, plans and organises training clinics, designs print material, and deals with ongoing media and training enquiries.

Lucy has also been commissioned to promote children’s author Marita Phillips and her fantasy children’s novel ‘The Dream Dealer’. A team effort from Lucy and her web designers produced a vibrant website showcasing the book and offering an attention-grabbing, fun and interactive experience for children (and parents!) visiting the site. Plans are under way to promote the book through further school talks, literary festivals, bookshop signings and online marketing via social networking sites and book bloggers.

Other freelance projects have included creating a promotional DVD to launch a horse ownership syndicate (original concept, filming, editing, designing the DVD jacket and copy-writing); designing print material for a number of clients; creating equine promotional videos to enhance sales opportunities. Lucy also works closely with web designers to bring stylish, interactive and highly customised websites to a wide range of different clients. (Details of the above projects can be found in the Portfolio).

Before going freelance, Lucy had been head-hunted by Fiona Price, founder and MD, for the launch of an innovative equestrian website Horse Hero (www.horsehero.com) where her business know-how, extensive knowledge of all things equestrian and her love of horses proved very useful assets. Together they built the website into the best video website for the equestrian sector – voted Sunday Times ‘Website of the Week’ in the first weeks following the website’s launch. Lucy’s role involved copy-writing, web editing, online marketing via social networking sites and promotion through reciprocal arrangements to increase exposure on key sites in the sector. In addition, Lucy had to fit in the filming and editing of around 150 informative and instructional videos over an 18 month period so became adept at working to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards. She became a key player in company strategy decisions and a fundamental part of the running of the website working as a dynamic, multi-tasking team of two!

Prior to that in her role with The Cotswold Company she was involved in production and co-ordination of their furniture and homewares catalogues, managing photography shoots, copywriting, proof-reading, writing press releases and PR responsibilities. A very different world to her first job. Enlisted straight from university in 2004 (BSc Hons Psychology & Zoology, University of Bristol) by Biffa Waste Services, Lucy was fast-tracked to a demanding role as Recycling Manager and devised a long-term marketing scheme to maximise recycling at client Peugeot’s 206 production facility in Coventry. Influencing the day-to-day decisions of a thousand factory employees and a workforce of waste operatives brought its own challenge but the biggest mountain to climb was that of health and safety paperwork! The man-management and negotiation skills she developed have proved invaluable over the years.
